If you stop into a number of local coffee shops in Kamloops, you might notice a poster board covered with hearts and love notes. It’s a project done by the Kamloops Hospice Association. The Kamloops Hospice Association is encouraging people to honour the memory of their loved ones this holiday season through the Celebrate a Life Campaign.
“Celebrate a Life is about remembering,” said Executive Director Wendy Marlow. “It started 28 years ago with this beautiful memory tree. It’s really a chance for people to come and write a memory card and celebrate the life that their loved one lived. You can turn a light from white to red, it just signifies that memory for the loved one.”
