KAMLOOPS — Each year, families from throughout the region experience the comfort of the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, when they have a loved one in need of palliative care.

The pandemic has curtailed many regular fundraising activities that benefit the hospice. In response, a group of family, friends and co-workers have come together to hold the Stop, Drop and Donate fundraiser for the Kamloops Hospice Association.

“The first two years were awesome, raising just shy of $66,000,” Marilyn Giesbrecht, organizer of the Stop, Drop and Donate fundraiser says.

KAMLOOPS — After Cassie McNutt raised more than $19,300 this past winter for Kamloops Hospice, she was finally able to see what her charitable efforts bought.

McNutt is a 15-year-old high school student in Kamloops, and hosts an annual charity drive for hospice — with an impressive Christmas light display at her family’s home in Dallas.

After this most recent fundraiser, Kamloops Hospice was able to purchase two patient ceiling lifts.
