Cassie’s Charity Drive 2022

$57,287 Raised

All funds go towards our 12 new patient bed campaign

Thank you Cassie, McNutt Family and all who supported this fundraiser!

On December 1st …. The McNutt Family is lighting up their house again this year and have chosen to support Hospice!

5215 Dallas Drive. The community is welcome to come by their home to enjoy the lights and visit Santa when he is not in his workshop and able to be outside!

Cassie is a Grade 11 student and together with her family, they work hard to help charities in our community bring smiles and cheer to families in need. Hospice has been close to home for them as her grandfather, uncle and dad’s best friend all spent their last days there.

There are some different ways to support this incredible fundraiser…..

ONLINE Silent Auction and Monetary Donations

Click here to visit Cassie’s Online Silent Auction starting December 1st to Bid on over $15,000 in Silent Auction Items.

You are able to contribute funds that will directly support Hospice through this site as well.

Auction closes Tuesday, December 20th at 9am.

HOSPICE WISH LIST

You can click here to visit our Wish List for a list of ideas of items that can be dropped off at the McNutt House during December.
Financially, Hospice’s greatest challenge is keeping up with the cost of food and household supplies. This can cost up to $1000 per week.  We always welcome and appreciate donations of items to help us feed and care for our patients.

KAMLOOPS — Each year, families from throughout the region experience the comfort of the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, when they have a loved one in need of palliative care.

The pandemic has curtailed many regular fundraising activities that benefit the hospice. In response, a group of family, friends and co-workers have come together to hold the Stop, Drop and Donate fundraiser for the Kamloops Hospice Association.

“The first two years were awesome, raising just shy of $66,000,” Marilyn Giesbrecht, organizer of the Stop, Drop and Donate fundraiser says.

KAMLOOPS — After Cassie McNutt raised more than $19,300 this past winter for Kamloops Hospice, she was finally able to see what her charitable efforts bought.

McNutt is a 15-year-old high school student in Kamloops, and hosts an annual charity drive for hospice — with an impressive Christmas light display at her family’s home in Dallas.

After this most recent fundraiser, Kamloops Hospice was able to purchase two patient ceiling lifts.

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Hospice Association has opened the doors to its new ‘Outlook for Peace’ building.

The idea came from a Kamloops couple, Jeff and Joan Glaicar, who spent a lot of time at hospice while they were saying goodbye to their dear friend Joanne.

“She was young. She had two children. My wife helped her children throughout the journey, which was a 10-year journey with brain cancer,” Jeff Glaicar told CFJC News.
