Celebrate a Life Campaign underway at Northills Mall

The Kamloops Hospice Association is encouraging people to honour the memory of their loved ones this holiday season through the Celebrate a Life Campaign.

“Celebrate a Life is about remembering,” said Executive Director Wendy Marlow. “It started 28 years ago with this beautiful memory tree. It’s really a chance for people to come and write a memory card and celebrate the life that their loved one lived. You can turn a light from white to red, it just signifies that memory for the loved one.”

From a bare lot in Sahali to a home that houses the dying, the Marjorie Willoughby Memorial Hospice Home has become a centre for compassion. This series traces the history of the Kamloops Hospice Association while visiting with staff, volunteers and a woman with terminal cancer.
