The Kamloops Hospice Association is encouraging people to honour the memory of their loved ones this holiday season through the Celebrate a Life Campaign.
“Celebrate a Life is about remembering,” said Executive Director Wendy Marlow. “It started 28 years ago with this beautiful memory tree. It’s really a chance for people to come and write a memory card and celebrate the life that their loved one lived. You can turn a light from white to red, it just signifies that memory for the loved one.”
KAMLOOPS — It was an exciting moment for many of the people gathered at 2676 Bentall Place on Saturday afternoon.
For some, the anticipation came from finding out who submitted the winning bid on the Cooper Family Foundation “Wings Above Kamloops” house. For others, they awaited the final fundraising numbers from the unique auction process, all of which will go to building the new expansion at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.
IT WAS TRULY AN EVENING TO REMEMBER! We exceeded our goal and have raised $135,000 towards equipping our building expansion which will focus on Community Services!
