Mission Statement

The mission of the Kamloops Hospice Association is to enhance the quality of life of persons and their families facing death and bereavement through skilled and compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care in the setting of the individual's choice.

What is Hospice?

"Hospice care allows patients to live until they die, their families to live with them until they die, and to go on living afterwards."
Elizabeth Kubler Ross

Facing a terminal illness changes a patient and their family's life dramatically but knowing there is support makes the journey easier.

Specialised end of life care means the physical and emotional needs are sensitively met. Pain and symptom management are a priority so the patient can live their remaining days with dignity and comfort.

Hospice palliative care also extends to helping  friends and family members through this difficult time and during the period of grief afterwards.
