COUNSELLING

Grief is a normal, natural response following the death of someone we love. It is important to realize that there is no right or wrong way to grieve.  Our grief is dependent on our unique relationship with the person who has died as well as our own personality. It is helpful to have someone to remind you of these things and to walk with you through the wilderness of grief.

The Hospice Home has counsellors on staff available to meet with residents and families during their stay with us. Our counsellors also make appointments for 'one on one' time as well as facilitating grief support groups.

Only those that mourn can truly know the pain, it’s the common bond between us as we learn to live again.
